Kolkata: 14th September 2022: India’s fastest growing digital first home finance company, organized 11th chapter of Kutumb themed ‘Future Ready with Green and Sustainable Housing’, 5th in association with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to promote green, affordable, future-ready, and sustainable housing in India.

The event took place at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata, on 14th September 2022. The delegates present at the event were Amit Sengar (Zonal Sales Head, East, West and Centre, IIFL HFL), Ajay Jaisawal (Company Secretary, IIFL HFL), Priya Sunder (Senior Investment Officer, ADB) and Preetha Ravisree Sajin (Director of School of Planning and Development, Sushant University).

Kutumb is a knowledge ecosystem conceptualised by IIFL HFL to promote green affordable housing in India, for a better understanding of green design, rating, and financing options available.

This event was focused on spreading awareness of green affordable housing for the economically weaker sections (EWS) and low income groups (LIG) among the developer community. IIFL HFL organised the event to curtail and address the on-going issues in Kolkata like the sustenance of the growing population in Kolkata and its economic and commercial needs, the need for the adoption of green and affordable housing; and the trend observed for the first time EWS and LIG home buyers owing to the large-scale migration.

Speaking at the event, Amit Sengar (Zonal Sales Head, East, West and Centre, IIFL HFL), said, “Kutumb is an initiative to build a habitat and ecosystem that is future ready and sustainable for EWS/LIG sector that yet remains to be completely addressed. It is with pleasure that we have been able to bring out a regular series platform through Kutumb, specially in Kolkata this time. This helps to create an ecosystem that fosters green, sustainable, and affordable housing in India. We are completely aligned with government’s mission of ‘Housing for All’ and have further plans to reach tier 2 and 3 markets in the state.”

The event was also live streamed on YouTube and later available as recording on the same platform. Click here for the event link: https://youtu.be/3q2kJur4SJY
